STRATEGIE n° 1085
01/22/1999 |
" ... Biltime is the product of brainstorming by
Escondit, a software company that sought to develop better control of time used to
accomplish tasks. Employees enter beforehand such data as time spent in meetings,
estimated time spent on different files and travel time. Time spent by each employee can
then be tracked using this computerized agenda. According to Escondit manager Antoine
Acker, " Existing tools for this type of time accountability are limited. Time
clocks only indicate time spent at the office and handwritten or data-entered timesheets
are unwieldy ". |

| Agenda " Escondit
has developed Biltime - a time calculating instrument that designates a period for each
task entered into an agenda - to meet the challenges of implementing the 35 hour work week
in France. The data base can be exported, enabling companies to consolidate the agendas of
all their employees. Biltime is aimed at consulting or auditing companies, accounting
firms and law offices that will be applying the 35 hour work week law in
France . "
